PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa is joining fellow world leaders at the World Governments Summit, which officially opened in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, as Zimbabwe steps up its global engagement and investment drive.

The high-level summit brings together heads of state and government, policymakers, global institutions and business leaders to deliberate on governance, innovation and sustainable development under the theme “Shaping Future Governments.”

Following the opening plenary session, President Mnangagwa is expected to hold a series of bilateral meetings with other leaders on the sidelines of the summit, focusing on strengthening diplomatic relations, economic cooperation and investment partnerships.

Cabinet ministers accompanying the President will also participate in parallel engagements aligned with Zimbabwe’s “open for business” policy, promoting investment opportunities across key sectors of the economy.

Zimbabwe’s delegation is using the global platform to entrench the country’s engagement and re-engagement agenda, while positioning the country as a competitive destination for trade, investment and innovation.

The World Governments Summit is regarded as one of the world’s premier forums for shaping policy responses to emerging global challenges, with discussions centred on future governance models, economic resilience and technological transformation.
