ZIMBABWE international forward Tawanda Maswanhise has attracted interest from Scottish champions Celtic and English Championship side Blackburn Rovers following an impressive season with Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership.

Maswanhise has been in red-hot form, netting 18 goals across all competitions to emerge as the Scottish Premiership’s most dangerous attacker.

The Warriors forward’s pace, movement and eye for goal have made him a central figure in Motherwell’s campaign and attracted interest beyond Scotland.

Sources close to the player indicate that several clubs have made initial enquiries, with Celtic and Blackburn Rovers leading the chase, with a deadline-day move not being ruled out.

Motherwell are understood to be bracing for formal bids, though the club remains keen to retain their top scorer.

Maswanhise was on target on Saturday, scoring a brace in Motherwell’s 2-0 win over Livingston.

The goals extended his scoring run to five consecutive matches, taking his tally to 13 league goals and 18 across all competitions.

Meanwhile, Motherwell coach, Jens Berthel Askou, has admitted that Maswanhise is for sale just not this month.
