ZIMBABWE has marked a significant milestone in international conservation engagement after making its debut at JAGD & HUND 2026, Europe’s largest hunting and wildlife conservation exhibition, currently underway in Dortmund, Germany.

The exhibition, which officially opened on Wednesday, brings together conservation practitioners, policymakers, outfitters and stakeholders from across the globe to discuss sustainable wildlife management, biodiversity protection and conservation-led development.

Zimbabwe’s debut at the high-profile exhibition marks a significant milestone, elevating the country’s visibility on one of the most influential international platforms dedicated to wildlife conservation and sustainable use.

With support from the International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation, Zimbabwe is participating alongside Botswana and Namibia under a Southern Africa joint stand, highlighting the region’s collective conservation efforts and shared wildlife management approaches.

Throughout the exhibition, Zimbabwe is showcasing its community-based conservation successes under the CAMPFIRE programme, enhanced wildlife governance following recent amendments to the Parks and Wildlife Act, as well as its rich biodiversity, sustainable hunting models, cultural heritage and tourism offerings.

The exhibition positions Zimbabwe as a credible and influential voice in international conservation diplomacy, while creating opportunities for partnerships, investment and knowledge exchange that support long-term biodiversity protection and sustainable development.
