ZIMBABWEAN golfer Benjamin Follett-Smith opened his 2026 campaign in style after clinching the Cell C Challenge with a dramatic final-round surge at Killarney Country Club.
Follett-Smith carded a composed four-under-par 66 on the final day to finish on 15-under 265, edging South Africa’s Haydn Porteous by a single stroke to secure his fourth Sunshine Tour title.
Starting the final round three shots off the pace, the two-time Challenge Tour winner capitalised as the overnight leaders struggled to gain momentum, delivering a calm and clinical performance to seal his first victory of the season.
Fellow Zimbabwean Robson Chinhoi also featured in the field and finished tied for 8th position
