MANCHESTER United have sacked head coach Ruben Amorim after 14 months in charge, the club has confirmed.
The Portuguese coach was relieved of his duties on Monday, following mounting tensions with the club hierarchy and a run of inconsistent results in the Premier League.
Interim charge of the team is expected to be taken by former United midfielder Darren Fletcher as the Red Devils seek a new permanent manager.
