THE ZANU PF Mashonaland West provincial leadership convened in Chinhoyi this Sunday for an inter-district meeting aimed at cascading resolutions from the recent National People’s Conference to party structures across the province.

The meeting brought together leadership from Mhangura, Makonde, and Chinhoyi districts, focusing on ensuring that policy directives, mobilisation strategies, and implementation plans agreed upon at the conference are clearly understood and effectively executed at the grassroots level.

Provincial Chairperson, Cde Mary Mliswa, and Central Committee Member, Senator Prisca Mupfumira, emphasised unity of purpose and adherence to the resolutions.

“One of the key directives is that all party structures, officials, members and Government deployees of the Party are bound to observe the resolutions of the National Congress and National People’s Conference, and to oppose such would be gross misconduct. As party leadership beginning at the grassroots level, we must ensure that we fully understand these resolutions and relay them to our members so that they know the direction in which the party is taking,” Cde Mliswa said.

“All our members are urged to take these resolutions back to the grassroots. Every ward, every village, and every community must understand what has been agreed on so that implementation becomes meaningful. Information should not end at the leadership level; it must reach the people who are directly affected and expected to take part in these programmes,” Senator Mupfumira said.

Party members commended the developmental trajectory being implemented by the ruling party and reaffirmed their commitment to cascading the resolutions to the grassroots.

“Strengthening our VTCs is crucial because it gives young people practical skills and keeps them away from drugs. When youths are trained and productive, they make better life choices and contribute positively to their communities,” Makonde Legislator, Honourable Simba Ziyambi said.

“Munhumutapa Day is important to us as young people because the Munhumutapa housing and land schemes are creating real empowerment. Access to stands and land gives youths a foundation to build their futures and participate meaningfully in development,” ZANU PF Mashonaland West Provincial Youth League Member, Cde Thomas Chidzomba said.

“Issuing title deeds is a major step because it gives families security of tenure and confidence to invest. It also helps formalise settlements and improve land management so that communities can develop in a structured way,” ZANU PF Mashonaland West Youth League, Cde Tapiwa Karonga said.

The ZANU PF Mashonaland West Provincial leadership says it expects greater coordination in implementing party programmes across the province.
