President Mnangagwa attends roundtable at 2nd World Summit for Social Development

PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa, who is in Doha, Qatar, for the 2nd World Summit for Social Development, has attended a roundtable meeting on strengthening the three pillars of social development.

In his presentation, President Mnangagwa spoke on the issue of social inclusion, noting that Zimbabwe is strengthening legal and institutional frameworks to promote equality.

“On social inclusion, Zimbabwe is strengthening legal and institutional frameworks to promote equality, non-discrimination and participation, ensuring inclusion of all citizens and promoting community-led development,” he said.

President Mnangagwa also met with Qatar Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, who also serves as the Foreign Minister.

The round table meeting drew participants from several countries at head of state level.

Delegates representing different social groups also presented on different topics related to social development.
