Brigadier General (Rtd) Victor Mpandasekwa dies

THE Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) has announced the passing of Brigadier General (Retired) Victor Mzheri Mpandasekwa, who died this Tuesday at a local health facility in Harare.

He was 75.

In a statement, Commander of the Zimbabwe National Army, Lieutenant General Emmanuel Matatu, confirmed the passing of the decorated liberation war veteran.

The late Brigadier General (Rtd) Mpandasekwa, whose Chimurenga name was Cde Khetani Khanye, served the nation with distinction both during and after the liberation struggle.

He is survived by four children, Anesu, Ropafadzai, Tinashe, and Khanye.

Mourners are gathered at House Number 189, Helensvale, Borrowdale, Harare, while burial arrangements will be announced in due course.
