THE Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has tracked down two teenage suspects at the centre of the viral Mutare rape case which has gripped the nation with shock and outrage.
The alleged incident, involving a 17-year-old girl, is said to have occurred in Mutare District last week. A video recording of the act, which surfaced on social media, shows two boys from Masasi High School in Marange sexually assaulting the girl.
The footage triggered widespread condemnation, reigniting debate about child protection, the impact of digital platforms, and the role of schools and communities in safeguarding the vulnerable.
According to the latest information from the ZRP, investigations are still ongoing.
