Warriors to face Bafana Bafana in World Cup Qualifier

THE Warriors are set to face off with South Africa in Durban next month in Zimbabwe’s penultimate 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifier.

According to a statement released by the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) this Tuesday, Zimbabwe will host Bafana Bafana in their own backyard on October 10, before concluding their World Cup qualifying campaign with a date against Lesotho four days later at a venue yet to be announced.

Zimbabwe have been forced to host matches outside the country as there are no CAF-approved venues at home.

The Warriors are not new to Moses Mabhida Stadium, having hosted Benin in March at the same facility in Durban.

Meanwhile, Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has named his provisional squad for the two matches against Zimbabwe and Rwanda.
