THE Secretary General of the Ramsar Convention, Dr Musonda Mumba, is set to arrive in Victoria Falls this Sunday ahead of the 15th Meeting of the Conference of the Contracting Parties (COP15), scheduled to take place from July 23 to 31.
The high-level conference will bring together representatives from over 170 countries, including Heads of State, ministers, scientists, and wetland conservation experts, to deliberate on critical global challenges concerning the sustainable management of wetlands.
Zimbabwe will make history as the first country in Southern Africa and only the second in Africa after Uganda to host and preside over this global environmental convention.
