THE Zimbabwe women’s rugby team, the Lady Sables, has started strongly in the Rugby Africa Division One Women’s Cup in Côte d’Ivoire thumping hosts 46-8 in their opening match as it strives to qualify for the Rugby Africa Cup qualification.
The team is now preparing for their next match against Tunisia on Tuesday, where they will face a team looking to bounce back from a 27-10 loss to Uganda.
With a crucial match against Uganda looming four days later, the Lady Sables are determined to maintain their momentum and secure a top spot, potentially earning a coveted place in the Rugby Africa Cup, which features elite teams among them South Africa, Madagascar, and Kenya.
