THE Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture has expressed satisfaction with the ongoing works at the Victoria Falls Cricket Stadium.
While touring the construction site for the facility, the committee noted the progress that has been made and the objectives set out for the Stadium usage after its completion.
“This is going to be a world-class facility. We are happy and excited to witness such development in Victoria Falls. As enunciated by President Emmerson Mnangagwa, this is the vision of development we want to see in the nation,” the committee’s chairperson, Honourable Farai Jere said.
The stadium is a key project by the Zimbabwe Cricket.
It also comes at a time when Zimbabwe is preparing to co-host the 2026 Under-19 Cricket World Cup alongside Namibia and the 2027 men’s Cricket World Cup with South Africa and Namibia.
