MOB justice for a suspected thief in Glen Norah, Harare, has landed three men in trouble after the victim succumbed to injuries sustained from the assault.
43-year-old Raphael Garikai, Antony Nyamweya (33), and Kudakwashe Rukanda (34) appeared in court this Saturday charged with murder.
It is alleged that the trio took turns to assault the victim using different weapons, with one of them pouring hot used oil on the now deceased.
The court heard that the victim was found the following morning laying unconscious before he was rushed to the hospital where he later died.
They were released on US$100 bail coupled with other stringent bail conditions.
Meanwhile, Simbarashe Mufandaedza, aged 41, who nearly killed a woman whom he robbed by stabbing her several times with a knife, has appeared in court charged with robbery.
It is alleged that the accused attacked the woman in town before stealing her mobile phone and cash.
He was later arrested after police received information of his whereabouts.
The accused was remanded in custody to Tuesday for bail application.
