THREE suspected armed robbers, believed to be part of a gang that has been terrorising people in and around Harare, have been arrested.
The suspects include Sydney Chemhere aged 42, Tinotenda Mabhandi aged 38 and Munyaradzi Gadzikwa aged 36.
According to the Zimbabwe Republic Police, detectives from CID Homicide, Harare, arrested Chemhere after receiving a tip-off that he was hiding in Glenview 7.
The arrest led to the recovery of eight Emex explosives and three fuse cables.
Mabhandi was later arrested at Makomva Shops in Glenview suburb.
Gadzikwa was arrested on the 12th of this month while receiving spiritual deliverance from a traditional healer in Glenview.
The trio, along with Spencer Mapfumo, Patrick Chibaba, Tarwirei Madzudzu, Paddington Meki, and Washington Marunze, are linked to 12 robbery crimes committed between July and October this year.
The trio targeted churches, companies and residential areas.
