THE Zimbabwe Republic Police has arrested Sarezi Shonhiwa (57) in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on the 3rd of this month at Pircy Farm in Goromonzi.
The six suspects, who attempted to conceal their identities with face masks, were identified after their faces were captured on CCTV cameras leading to a police to launch manhunt.
Shonhiwa and his accomplices who are still at large allegedly stole US$3 000 cash and property worthy US$10 000 after they threatened to kill the farm owner.
Upon being quizzed, the suspect admitted to being one of the suspects and implicated Godfrey Mapanzure, Brian Chiyanwa, Tawanda Manokore and another one only identified as Mhofu.
Mapanzure and Manokore are also wanted in connection with another robbery case that occurred in Mutorashanga; Mashonaland West Province.
According to the police, Shonhiwa and his accomplices are also implicated in another case of armed robbery that occurred on 26th of October 2024 along Christon Bank Road in Christon Bank, where a Toyota Rav 4 vehicle, a Star pistol, five cellphones and US$760 cash was stolen.
Meanwhile, Shonhiwa is expected to appear in court this Monday.
