“Well fitness comes from exercising and I’m advising all women to find time to exercise that lessens the risk of contracting chronic diseases such as breast cancer,” added a participant .

With breast cancer becoming a menace in society such initiatives have been hailed for bringing information to people’s doorsteps.

The organiser of the marathon, Mr Sabadu Seva said, “We organised the 10k marathon which was mainly for breast cancer awareness. I work with women in this fitness industry and we decided to raise awareness on breast cancer to women in Chiredzi because most women are scared to go and get screened hence they need support.”
