VICE President Cde Kembo Mohadi has arrived in South Africa ahead of the 12th Annual Conference of Speakers of African National and Regional Parliaments.
VP Mohadi arrived at Lanseria International Airport this evening accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Finance and Investment Promotion, Honourable David Kudakwashe Mnangagwa.
He was received by South African Department of International Relations and Cooperation officials, Pan African Parliament President Chief Fortune Charumbira, Zimbabwe’s Ambassador to South Africa His Excellency David Hamadziripi, Parliament of Zimbabwe Chief Whip Honourable Pupurai Togarepi and PAP legislators.
He will headline the 12th Annual Conference of Speakers of National and Regional Parliaments, which will take place at the Pan African Parliament in Midrand this Wednesday.
More than 25 speakers from national and regional parliaments are expected to attend the event where they will reflect on and proffer parliamentary solutions to challenges facing the African continent ranging from climate change to security issues.
The conference of speakers has been preceded by the meeting of clerks of parliaments, which also sought to share information on continental challenges, among other issues.
