ZANU PF conference preparations gather momentum

PREPARATIONS for the ZANU PF Annual National People’s Conference slated for Bulawayo in October have gathered pace.

The conference will run from the 22nd to the 26th of October, with the host province optimistic of a successful event.

The ruling party’s Secretary General, Dr Obert Mpofu outlined the extensive preparations underway for the conference, on the sidelines of the organising committee meeting held at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre this Friday.

“Preparations for the annual people’s conference are currently underway and from the reports we are getting from the host province, we are certain that all is in the right direction for a successful conference. Taking a leaf from the successful hosting of the SADC summit, we are optimistic that this conference will be a successful one looking at how the host province is conducting the preparations. We are committed to ensuring that this year’s conference is a resounding success,” he said.

The 21st National People’s Conference will be presided over by the ZANU PF First Secretary and President, Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa.

The conference will be held under the theme: ‘Industrialise and Modernise Towards the Attainment of Vision 2030,’ with over 3 000 delegates expected to converge at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre in Bulawayo.
