Artist honours President with sculpture
Story by Fungai Jachi
A gesture of love and appreciation shown through exquisite artistry has seen a Chitungwiza-based bead and wire artist Cassidy Mwashusha honouring President Emmerson Mnangagwa with a life sized sculptor and a lion representing his totem.
Mwashusha, aged 49 said the gifts are his way of showing appreciation to the first citizen.
“I am doing this because I love my President and there is no other way I can show my appreciation to him. This form of art is made possible only when you are inspired and I am inspired by the President,” he said.
The President accepted the gift with joy and an equal measure of appreciation.
