GOALS flowed freely on Matchday 21 of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League, with Hardrock FC and CAPS United producing a pulsating 3-3 draw in the standout fixture at Chahwanda Stadium in Kwekwe.
Hardrock struck first through the league’s leading scorer, Washington Navaya, who took his season tally to 11 goals before Kudzai Chigwida restored parity for CAPS United on the stroke of half-time.
CAPS United went ahead shortly after the restart when substitute Obriel Chirinda found the net, only for Wilfred Madzungu to score twice in quick succession to put Hardrock back in front.
Chris Mugalu then rescued a point for the visitors with the equaliser in an entertaining contest that ended with the spoils shared.
Hardrock coach Kelvin Kaindu felt his side had let victory slip despite the spectacle.
“It’s a match where I can say we dropped two points, but I’m happy the fans witnessed a good game with all the right ingredients,” he said.
CAPS United coach Takesure Chiragwi was satisfied to leave Kwekwe with a point despite defensive lapses.
“It was a good game from both teams. We made a few defensive mistakes, but we’ll take the point away from home,” he said.
Elsewhere, Dynamos recorded an emphatic 4-0 victory over newcomers Agama, while Manica Diamonds edged ZPC Kariba 1-0.
Herentals also secured a narrow 1-0 win over Triangle at Gibbo Stadium, with Highlanders and Simba Bhora settling for a 1-1 draw.
