ZIMBABWE is topping the medals tally at the AUSC Region Five Darts Youth Championships in Mazowe, having hit the mark with three medals from the four team events played so far.

Team Zimbabwe’s U-15 boys and girls each chalked up silver, adding to the bulls-eye performance by the U-18 girls, who nailed gold this Thursday after a high-stakes shootout with South Africa.

This has given Zimbabwe the edge in overall medal count despite Eswatini leading on quality with two gold medals from the U-15 Boys and Girls categories.

Namibia are third on the medals table, having landed a solitary gold in the U-18 Boys team event.

South Africa trail with a pair of silver medals in the boys and girls U-18 divisions.

Zimbabwe’s arrows are still flying strong, with three home-grown pairs having checked out successfully into the finals of the doubles events later today, guaranteeing more silverware for the host nation.
