PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa has arrived at the Harare International Conference Centre, where he is set to officially open the 2025 Zimbabwe Accountants Conference.
The conference will feature high-level discussions on critical economic matters, including the enhancement of the public accounting system, strategic engagements between accountants and government, and the development of frameworks to support growth in Zimbabwe’s productive sectors.
Delegates are also expected to explore ways to align their profession with the national development agenda while reinforcing the importance of transparency, accountability, and integrity in financial reporting and governance.
In an interview earlier this week with ZBC News, the Chairperson of the organising committee for the conference, Dr Lovemore Gomera said the annual conference is key as it entails looking at how best their expertise can play in shaping the growth of the economy.
