ZIMBABWE is gearing up to face Angola this Friday in a crucial Africa Cup of Nations Group B match in Morocco, a fixture that could determine the Warriors’ continuation in the tournament.
Despite the festive season back home, the team is looking to bounce back from a narrow defeat to Egypt in their opening match. A win against Angola would not only revive Zimbabwe’s 2025 AFCON campaign but also offer supporters a morale boost during the holidays.
“We want to give our fans a perfect gift for Christmas. We have been working hard to make sure that we win the encounter, and the boys are very determined to win,” Captain Marvelous Nakamba said.
Coach Marian Marinica acknowledged the challenge ahead but expressed confidence in his squad.
“We just have to win, we are going all out for a win, and we have players that have recovered, and that should also help us because we need a big squad for different situations,” Warriors Coach Marian Marinica said.
With 90 minutes separating success from disappointment, Zimbabwe carries the hopes of a nation eager to see its team make history at the Africa Cup of Nations. The outcome against Angola could define the campaign and reshape the narrative for Zimbabwean football.
