Vice President Chiwenga consoles Mushohwe family

Vice President General (Rtd) Dr Constantino Chiwenga has sent a message of condolences to the Mushohwe family following the passing on of Dr Christopher Mushohwe.

In a statement, Vice President Chiwenga said, ‘‘It is with a deep sense of shock that I learnt of the untimely passing on of Dr Christopher Mushowe, on Monday, 13 February 2023, at his Borrowdale home in Harare. His death comes hardly two weeks after the nation suffered yet another major blow, following the death of National Hero, the late Brig. Gen. Epmarcus Walter Kanhanga, on 2 February 2023.’’

He also extended heartfelt condolences to President Emmerson Mnangagwa, Mrs Penelope Mushohwe and children, the greater Mushohwe family as well as the entire nation on the passing of Dr Mushohwe, who is described as a quiet giant and nation builder, “who, like still waters, ran deep into every corner of the country in search of people’s emancipation through education.”

“Indeed, the late Cde Mushohwe’s great works shall live forever and always be remembered,” Dr Chiwenga noted.
