ZANU PF steps up mobilisation drive

Story by Gay Matambo

ZANU PF has intensified its mobilisation drive in the Chiredzi district to deliver a resounding victory for President Emmerson Mnangagwa and the party in the harmonised elections scheduled for this year.

ZANU PF Chiredzi District Coordinating Committee Chairperson, Cde Siyaki Mundungehama said, ‘‘The meeting gave us a platform to update party members on the cell verification exercise that we have been conducting in every district for the past two months. We want to ensure that every member is included in the cells and we encouraged party members to register to vote.’’

ZANU PF Provincial Chairperson for Masvingo Province, Cde Robson Mavenyengwa implored party members in the district to remain guided by the party’s constitution that emphasises unity, discipline and loyalty as the ruling party prepares for the harmonised elections.

‘‘We are doing a road map for the campaign for five million votes for our President, Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa. We are giving each district a target so that they know what they are working on. At the same time, we are also intensifying the cell verification and voter mobilisation process.’’

ZANU PF is targeting at least five million votes in this year’s harmonised elections with the party riding on the success of the inclusive development agenda.
