POLICE have launched a man-hunt for suspects following a grisly murder in which a man from Bindura was found dead on Saturday, with his body parts mutilated.

The man was allegedly murdered on Saturday morning, with the suspects cutting off the head, genitals, forearms and feet in a development that has shocked local residents.

Mashonaland Central Police Spokesperson, Inspector Milton Mundembe said the dismembered body was discovered by a passer-by who followed a trail of blood leading to a nearby field.

“An unknown accused person committed this callous murder when an unknown accused person later dumped this body in a field without the head, both hands and feet. As of now, the body of the deceased is at Bindura Hospital mortuary and anyone with missing relatives can approach CID Bindura or any nearest police station.”

Police investigations are ongoing in the suspected ritual case with the ZRP appealing to the public to come forward if they have any information that might provide leads on the arrest of the perpetrators.
