VP Chiwenga in Iran looking for ways to strengthen the pharmaceutical industry

VICE President General (Rtd) Dr Constantino Chiwenga is in the Iranian capital city of Tehran for bilateral engagements as the country continues to look for ways to further strengthen its pharmaceutical industry in line with the country’s engagement and re-engagement drive.

The Vice President is in Iran on the invitation of the host government and is expected to meet with the country’s Vice President, His Excellency Mohammad Mokhber and the Minister of Health and Medical Education, Professor Bahram Eynollahi as the two nations look for areas of further cooperation.

Early this year, Iran sent a team of 12 medical specialists from various disciplines to Zimbabwe for two weeks conducting surgeries at United Bulawayo Hospitals and Mpilo Central Hospital as well as sharing new techniques and technologies with their Zimbabwean counterparts.
