Women’s Super League clubs to appear before a disciplinary committee

Story by Mthokozisi Dube

WOMEN Super League clubs Barrow Jets and defending champions Herentals Queens are set to face disciplinary action after their match was abandoned last Saturday.

In an incident that has left more questions than answers, Barrow Jets players walked off the pitch claiming the visiting team had encroached onto their warmup half.

ZBC News is reliably informed that so far one club has submitted a report which is expected to be tabled before a disciplinary committee after which a decision will be made.

Other Women Super League matches went ahead as scheduled with Correctional Queens and Platinum Royals playing out to a goalless draw, while Black Mambas triumphed over Chipembere two-nil.

Former Champions Black Rhinos Queens ran riot thumping Conduit Academy six-nil, while Maningi Youth lost one-nil to MSU.
