THE fifth Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Summit roars into life this Wednesday in Namibia with youths and entrepreneurs in the tourism sector set to deliberate on various issues affecting the industry.
Over 600 delegates from across Africa and beyond are expected to converge in the desert city of Swakopmund ahead of the official opening tomorrow.
The Summit which will run until the 4th of June is the only Pan African youth and start-up tourism event on the continent.
It serves as a networking platform for SMEs, youths as well as players in the tourism sector and related industries.
Youths in tourism will also be allowed to present their project proposals to the global market which brings forth, funding, mentorship and partnerships.
The event was organised by the Namibian Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism in collaboration with the Africa Tourism Partners and the United Nations World Tourism Organisation.
