ZANU PF Manicaland Province has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Vision 2030, with party leaders highlighting ongoing development projects, economic growth and grassroots mobilisation initiatives being implemented across the province.

The meeting was a platform for the ruling party’s leadership in Manicaland to review the party’s programmes and developmental, people-centred projects which are currently ongoing in the province.

ZANU PF Manicaland Provincial Chairperson, Cde Tawanda Mukodza, thanked party members for supporting the Constitutional Amendment No. 3 Bill and reiterated the province’s continued backing of President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Vision 2030 agenda.

“I want to thank you all for rallying behind Constitutional Amendment No.3 Bill, and also thank our legislators for voting for the bill. The people of Manicaland have always supported and will continue to support President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Vision 2030 agenda. We are seeing many developmental projects that the government is doing in our province, and I’m happy that the party and government are in sync.”

Manicaland Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Advocate Misheck Mugadza, noted that the province has recorded notable progress in agriculture and investment inflows.

“I am happy that we all supported the bill resoundingly. In terms of food security, Manicaland Province managed to harvest more than 314 000 metric tonnes of cereals. In terms of winter wheat, the province surpassed its target from 15 000 to 15 461. We have investors who have come in Manicaland, and they have close to US$15 million since the beginning of the year.”

Minister of Skills, Audit and Development, Dr Jenfan Muswere, said skills development remain central to unlocking provincial value chains and economic transformation.

“In Manicaland, we have resources, but it is important to have intellectual capacity to transform our value chains as provinces and communities. We are working on dispensing skills to the citizens. We want communities to be able to transform themselves through skills, and this aligns with Vision 2030.”

Party members were urged to remain vigilant against internal and external detractors who seek to infiltrate the party and derail the country’s economic trajectory, with emphasis being placed on unity of purpose, alignment of cells, and peaceful structural synergy from the village level right up to the provincial executive.

ZANU PF Treasurer-General, Cde Patrick Chinamasa encouraged continued unity and participation in ongoing party programmes.

“I want to thank you for the job well done in supporting the Constitutional Amendment No.3 Bill. That unity that was there during the period may it forever exist because the bill is for the people and for development. We are going forward with the cell registration digitalisation programme, and so far, half a million members have been registered digitally. We want everyone to be registered. We are the ones who build our party and our country. Nationally, almost 4 million have been registered digitally.”

“The party members came in huge numbers, and we discussed a number of important issues, key among them the National Cell Day. We are also heightening the cell digitalisation programme,” ZANU PF Politburo member, Cde Supa Mandiwanzira added.

The inter-district meeting also served as a mobilisation platform ahead of ZANU PF’s National Cell Day scheduled for June 27, with members encouraged to strengthen grassroots structures and enhance community engagement.
