THE Zimbabwe Women’s cricket team, the Lady Chevrons, suffered a heavy 110-run defeat to New Zealand in the second T20 International of their tour in Hamilton this Friday.
The hosts produced a commanding display with the bat, posting a formidable 196 for 1 in their 20 overs, showcasing why they remain one of the powerhouses of the women’s game.
In reply, the Lady Chevrons were bowled out for 86, struggling to build meaningful partnerships against a disciplined New Zealand attack that maintained pressure throughout the innings.
Despite the margin of defeat, the match provided valuable lessons for the Lady Chevrons as they continue to gain experience against top-tier opposition.
The final T20i is set for Monday, with Zimbabwe looking for consolation.
