THE Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed the arrest of two suspected armed robbers following a robbery at a Mukuru Money Transfer Agency in Mabelreign, Harare, on Saturday.

The suspects, Tanaka Java (42) and Ronald Rupare (28), allegedly attacked an employee before getting away with more than US$5 000 and over R26 000 in cash.

ZRP National Spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident, saying the suspects were pursued and apprehended at a police roadblock along Quinton Road in Avondale. However, one accomplice managed to escape and remains at large.
