THE Zimbabwe National Women’s cricket team, the Lady Chevrons, have wrapped up their ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifying campaign without a single victory after suffering a six-wicket defeat to Nepal today.

Playing at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Zimbabwe posted 129 for six in their allotted 20 overs.

Kelis Ndhlovu was the standout with an aggressive unbeaten 52 off just 36 balls, striking eight boundaries, while Beloved Biza chipped in with a steady 34.

In reply, Nepal chased down the target with three balls to spare, finishing on 133 for four in 19.3 overs.

Puja Mahato anchored the run chase with a composed, unbeaten half-century, scoring 52 from 50 deliveries to guide the hosts to victory.

The loss confirmed a disappointing end to Zimbabwe’s qualifying campaign, as the Lady Chevrons exit the tournament winless, despite flashes of individual brilliance throughout the competition.
