A religious liberty festival is underway in Victoria Falls, bringing together faith leaders, civic stakeholders, and policymakers to reflect on the role of religion in national development.
The event is being hosted by the Public Affairs and Religious Liberty Association (PARL) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in collaboration with faith-based partners and civic institutions.
Speaker of Parliament, Advocate Jacob Mudenda, is expected to deliver a key presentation focusing on the Religious Liberty Legal Framework in existence in Zimbabwe, outlining constitutional provisions and policy safeguards that guarantee freedom of religion.
His address is anticipated to reinforce the Second Republic’s commitment to upholding democratic values and inclusive governance.
Also in attendance are Dr Kupukile Mlambo, Chairperson of the Infrastructure Development Bank of Zimbabwe and ZimTrade, as well as former Zambian envoy to the United States and Central American states, Ambassador Palan Mulonda, underscoring the regional and institutional significance of the gathering.
