BATTLE-hardened Simba Bhora midfielder, Never Tigere, has called on his teammates not to get carried away ahead of the second leg of the CAF Champions League preliminary round match against Nsingizini Hotspurs at Somhlolo Stadium in Eswatini on Sunday.
The Zimbabwean champions carry a slender one-goal advantage heading into the reverse encounter after a one-nil victory over Nsingizini in Botswana.
Tigere, who has vast CAF Champions League experience from his days at FC Platinum, Azam of Tanzania, and most recently Ngezi Platinum Stars, has called for caution ahead of Sunday’s encounter.
“We need to take the match as the first leg, we have to forget about what happened in Botswana we are starting afresh and I told my teammates that it will tough away from home there are no small teams in the Champions league so we need to focus and not get carried away because any lapse of concentration we will be punished,” Tigere said.
Fellow midfielder, Butholezwe Ncube, also has continental club football experience.
“It is not going to be easy, but we have to work as a team just like what we did in the first leg. We know they are going to have a strong crowd behind them, but we are ready for anything,” Simba Bhora midfielder, Butholezwe Ncube said.
Simba Bhora are looking to avoid defeat against Nsingizini Hotspurs to progress to the first round, where they will face either Gaborone United of Botswana or Simba SC of Tanzania.
