Zim strengthens trade ties at the 7th Iran-Expo 2025

ZIMBABWE this Monday joins over 100 nations at the seventh Iran-Expo 2025, which officially opened this Monday, marking a key step in strengthening economic and trade relations between the two countries.

Vice President General (Retired) Dr Constantino Chiwenga, who is leading the Zimbabwean delegation is attending the Expo and will also tour exhibition halls.

He will also be attending specialised and export development oriented meetings at the Iran-Expo 2025 including discussions to increase economic and trade relations between Zimbabwe and Iran.

Zimbabwe’s main focus at the exhibition is on the health sector, agriculture, tourism, pharmaceuticals, Small and Medium Enterprises, mining, education and energy.

The Iran-Expo 2025 which is the largest export or trade exhibition in Iran offer opportunities for Zimbabwe to identify new areas of cooperation ahead of the Mid Term Review of the Zimbabwe-Iran Joint Permanent Commission on Cooperation (JPCC) in the next few months.

Vice President Chiwenga is also expected to further bolster Zimbabwe’s economic growth drive or agenda by engagements with Iran’s private sector on proposals to set up projects in Zimbabwe.
