Harare giants, Dynamos are plotting to ride on their huge fan base in the Chibuku finale pitting the Glamour Boys and champions, Ngezi platinum slated for Baobab in a fortnight.
While the two teams have sealed their participation in the African safari and the continental club competitions respectively, the Chibuku finale set for Baobab Stadium on the 3rd of December is nowhere near a dead rubber as Ngezi Platinum will be out chasing a double while Dynamos will be out to assert themselves as a side capable of stopping Madamburo’s dominance on the local scene.
The Glamour Boys appear to be fighting a lonely battle as they feel a change of venue to a neutral and bigger facility that will see fans enjoying the thrills and spills associated with the game.
“It’s going to be a tough match, but in our opinion, we would have liked to see the match on a neutral venue, a venue that can accommodate our bigger number of fans. It’s not a dead rubber, we are taking the match seriously and we would want to lift the Chibuku trophy for the first time so that we do not go for the club competition riding on Ngezi’s benevolence,” said Mathias Taderera, Dynamos fan representative.
Ngezi platinum have the Chibuku trophy in their cabin having lifted it in 2016 at Barbourfields Stadium under Tonderai Ndiraya.
The Premier Soccer League has been rotating finals of the lucrative cup which gives a club the right to represent the country in continental club football.
