THE Meteorological Services Department forecasted torrential rains from this Friday until Sunday and  It is raining in some parts of the country, particularly in Manicaland, Matabeleland South, Matabeleland North and Masvingo Provinces.

While the weather is partially clear in Harare Metropolitan, other provinces Have been receiving rain since this morning.

According to the Meteorological Services Department, some districts like Mutare, Chimanimani, Chipinge and Buhera in Manicaland as well as Chiredzi, Mwenezi, Gutu, Bikita and Zaka in Masvingo province are likely to experience heavy rains during the weekend.

The Civil Protection Unit is on high alert in case of any eventualities and the government has also urged schools to allow children going to boarding schools to travel after the weekend.
