THE Zimbabwe women’s national cricket team, the Lady Chevrons, are on cloud nine after winning the three-match T20 series against Papua New Guinea at Harare Sports Club.
The Lady Chevrons claimed their second consecutive series victory over Papua New Guinea after adding the T20 to the One Day International series victory.
Tuesday evening’s business saw the visitors winning the toss and choosing to bowl.
The hosts set a competitive target of 136 runs for the loss of six wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
Chipo Mugeri-Tiripano top-scored for the Lady Chevrons with 69, while captain Mary-Anne Musonda and teenager Kellis Ndlovu came in with handy knocks.
The tourists, however, failed to reach the target as they labored to 104 runs for four wickets, which saw Zimbabwe claiming a 2-1 series victory.
The Lady Chevrons are preparing for the T20 World Cup Qualifiers.
