ZIMBABWE Women’s Premier Soccer League side Correctional Queens have received a shot in the arm after a local financial institution renewed their partnership ahead of the 2024 season.

Correctional Queens launched their new kit after they renewed their vows with Red Spheres Finance for another year.

With the Women’s Premier Soccer League set to kick off on the 13th of this month, the alliance is expected to transform the fortunes of Correctional Queens and help them achieve their goals.

Red Spheres Finance managing director, Desmond Ali said, “This partnership is a dream come true for us. We have the support we need to succeed, and Red Spheres Finance has given us a lifeline. With their help, we can now focus on our training and our game. We are so grateful for this opportunity and we will do everything we can to make the most of it.”

Rallied by Red Spheres Finance, Correctional Queens are now better positioned to compete at the highest level and are determined to succeed.

“We have improved well since last season, and because of the support we have, we are now well-prepared for the season and are targeting to challenge for the championship,” said Correctional Queens coach, Choice Dambudza.

Red Spheres Finance is equally determined to help the team achieve its goals through sound financial support.

Correctional Queens chairperson, Mavis Gumbo, said, “What we believe in is that for us to improve our national team, it has to start at the club level. If we invest in our clubs, we will have a well-structured national team.”

Correctional Queens also unveiled four new players, including former Mighty Warriors goalkeeper Manyara Mandara, Hazvinei Dhlakama, Ashley Mutonga, and Zambian international Agnes Tumbare.
