HERENTALS moved into sixth position on the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League table after thumping Yadah four-nil at the National Sports Stadium this Saturday.
Seemingly foretelling the events at Baobab Stadium, Herentals acted like they were on steroids as they put four goals past Yadah to climb a place up the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League log.
Herentals were in a bullish mood out-matching fellow Harare outfit Yadah at the National Sports Stadium this Saturday taking advantage of Chicken Inn’s 1-0 loss in the hands of log leaders Ngezi Platinum Stars.
It was an unfortunate day for Chicken Inn who watched Herentals deposing them off the sixth spot as the students moved to 42 points, 12 points off Ngezi who moved to 54 points following their victory.
Ngezi also capitalised on FC Platinum’s defeat in the hands of ZPC Kariba to increase the gap between them and second-placed FC Platinum to eight points after 27 games.
With nine goals scored on Saturday, Simba Bhora joined the winning party, claiming a crucial away victory over Bulawayo Chiefs at Luveve Stadium, while Black Rhinos and Green Fuel drew blanks in a nil-all stalemate.
Matchday 27 action continues tomorrow with Highlanders seeking to crawl into second place when they face a wounded Cranborne Bullets at Barbourfields Stadium.
CAPS United who finally remembered how to win last weekend face Sheasham at the National Sports Stadium, while Triangle and Hwange lock horns at Gibbo Stadium.
