CITIZEN Coalition for Change (CCC) Interim Secretary General, Sengezo Tshabangu has filed an urgent High Court application seeking the court to bar recalled CCC representatives from contesting in the December 9 by-elections.
The recall of CCC legislators and the subsequent proclamation of the December 9 by-elections, saw recalled candidates successfully filing nomination papers under the same party name on the 7th of this month.
The development has however seen CCC Interim Secretary General, Sengezo Tshabangu through his legal representatives led by Mr Nqobani Sithole filing an urgent High Court application, arguing that the recalled members cannot contest under the CCC banner.
Meanwhile, the High Court has rolled over to this Tuesday the matter in which the CCC is suing Tshabangu for allegedly masquerading as the party’s Interim Secretary General.
