THE infighting in the opposition CCC has turned nasty after Former Mabvuku-Tafara legislator, James Chidhakwa was brutally assaulted by suspected fellow party members this Monday.
Videos circulating on social media show a bruised and battered Chidhakwa, amid claims that the former CCC legislator was attacked by unknown assailants on Monday night.
Zimbabwe Republic Police National Spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi however indicated that police are yet to receive a formal report.
Unconfirmed reports say Chidhakwa was found dumped in Arcturus and severely injured.
There are also claims that he told his colleagues he was injected with an unknown substance and his dreadlocks shaved with a sharp object.
The incident comes at a time when the opposition CCC is embroiled in internal turmoil after some legislators were recalled from parliament.
