President Mnangagwa approves Air Marshal Elson Moyo’s retirement

PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa has approved the retirement of Air Force of Zimbabwe Commander, Air Marshal Elson Moyo and appointed Air Vice Marshal John Nzvenda as the new commander of the force.

In a statement, Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Dr Martin Rushwaya confirmed that Air Marshal Moyo’s retirement is with effect from the 15th of March 2024, with Air Vice Marshal Nzvenda set to take over the command of the force on the same day.

President Mnangagwa has also appointed Dr Christopher Pasi as the Secretary to the Health Service Commission.

Dr Pasi holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, a Masters in Medicine and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, among other qualifications.

Upon his new appointment, he was serving as the Chief Medical Officer at Sally Mugabe Central Hospital in Harare.
