THE Zimbabwe A women’s cricket team maintained their impressive form, defeating Nigeria by 64 runs in the Kwibuka women’s T20 tournament in Rwanda this Wednesday.
Zimbabwe A batted first, posting a total of 158 for 7 in 20 overs, with Kelis Ndhlovu top-scoring at 51, Beloved Biza contributing 46 and Christina Mutasa adding 32.
In response, Nigeria was bowled out for 94 runs in 18.2 overs, handing Zimbabwe A a 64-run victory.
The win propels Zimbabwe A to second place in the standings with 12 points, behind unbeaten Uganda, who have already secured a spot in the final.
The stage is set for a thrilling encounter this Friday as Zimbabwe A faces third-placed Rwanda, with a place in the Kwibuka Women’s T20I final at stake.
The winner of this match will join Uganda in the final.
