TV BRICS starts cooperation with the National Assembly of Venezuela

TVBRICS – This is another step in the development of TV BRICS’ relations with Latin American countries

The TV BRICS International Media Network has started cooperation with the National Assembly of Venezuela. The corresponding memorandum was signed between the media network and the official TV channel of the National Assembly ANTV. The document was signed in the presence of the First Secretary of the Venezuelan Embassy in Russia Andres Gonzalez.

The National Assembly is Venezuela’s unicameral legislative body, whose tasks include analysing laws aimed at ensuring the well-being of society and the development of the country’s economy.

“TV BRICS has been working towards BRICS+ for a long time. We call ourselves BRICS, but we are not limited to the countries of this commonwealth – we are working towards Latin America, we are interested in Africa, we are developing our ties on the Eurasian continent. Latin America is a strategic direction for TV BRICS. We already have good partners here, both among media structures and at the state level. We regard ANTV as a reliable source of information about life in Venezuela, about Venezuela’s position on some international issues and international agenda,” said Janna Tolstikova, CEO of TV BRICS.

She noted that TV BRICS, in its turn, will share with ANTV materials about Russia and other BRICS countries in Spanish.

“We also want to develop partnerships with the National Assembly of Venezuela in different areas of the humanitarian agenda. This is cooperation with educational institutions, interaction in the media sphere,” emphasised Janna Tolstikova.

The Deputy of the National Assembly of Venezuela, President of ANTV, Carolina Cestari said,”The signing of this agreement is very important for both ANTV and TV BRICS, as it is an opportunity for us to jointly produce content. With the help of TV BRICS, we will be able to create our own content, according to our vision, our point of view. This cooperation opens new opportunities for us in our future work.”

TV BRICS actively develops cooperation with media and educational institutions of Latin American countries, including Venezuela. This year, the media network signed a cooperation agreement with teleSUR, which is one of the most influential media resources in Latin America. It is one of the leading channels that has broadcasts not only in South America, but also in North America, as well as in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, during the 15th BRICS Summit in Johannesburg, emphasised the importance of deepening cooperation between the leading Latin American media outlet teleSUR and TV BRICS. He said the strengthening of ambitious alliances such as the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA) and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) requires a high level of awareness among the peoples of the member countries about the realities, benefits and opportunities of joint activities. He noted that this will be possible through the deepening of cooperation between TV BRICS and teleSUR.

TV BRICS continues to work on expanding its network of media partners in Latin America as one of the BRICS+ areas.
