Presidents Mnangagwa and Ramaphosa tour Beitbridge Border Post

PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa and his South African counterpart, President Cyril Ramaphosa have toured the border facilities of both countries at the Beitbridge border post.

Speaking after touring the South African side, President Ramaphosa said the tour was for the two heads of state to see how both sides of the border are functioning.

He said is important for the borders to function smoothly to ensure easy movement of people and enhanced trade.

President Mnangagwa spoke on the cordial relations between the two countries saying relations between the two countries continue to grow hence the decision to do a combined inspection by both leaders.

After touring the South African side, the two heads of state moved to the Zimbabwean side, where President Mnangagwa took President Ramaphosa on a tour of the refurbished border post.

President Ramaphosa said his country will borrow some notes from Zimbabwe to improve their side after he was impressed with the new look border infrastructure.
