Massive progress registered at Mbudzi Traffic Interchange project

Story by Theophilus Chuma

CIVIL works at the Mbudzi Traffic Interchange in Harare are progressing well, with revelations the road linking Glen Norah suburb and Chitungwiza will be opened to traffic next month.

The interchange is one of the key national infrastructure development projects being implemented by the Second Republic.

“We are happy with the progress so far and we expect that the first road of the Interchange, that’s the road linking traffic from Masvingo Road to Glen Norah should open to traffic by the end of next month,” said Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure Development, Engineer Theodius Chinyanga.

Upon completion, the interchange’s set of bridges will allow traffic to flow continuously without obstruction or congestion as has been the case in the past.

The government is prioritising the finalisation of the Mbudzi Interchange which aligns with the dualisation programme of the Harare-Beitbridge Highway.
