ZANU PF rides development trump card

Story by Mhlomuli Ncube

ECONOMIC development in Matabeleland North Province took centre stage at a ZANU PF campaign rally held in Hwange this Thursday.

The ruling ZANU PF party is aiming for a clean sweep in a province where there are 197 local authority wards and 13 constituencies.

Riding on the Second Republic’s development agenda that has seen mega projects in the area such as the Gwayi-Shangani Lake and Hwange 7 and 8 expansion power project, the party leadership led by ZANU PF national chairperson, Cde Oppah Muchinguri Kashiri, says the Second Republic’s works speak better than empty promises by the opposition.

“Our President said it does not matter whether we have sanctions and declared that Zimbabweans will rebuild their country. They will rebuild their economy and it has already started. You can see for yourself development projects all over the country,” said Cde Muchinguri-Kashiri.

“These people are tired of empty promises by the opposition and have vowed to vote for ZANU PF and board the moving train of the government of the new dispensation,” said ZANU PF Mat North provincial chairperson, Cde Richard Moyo.

Matabeleland North province has become a beacon of development and ZANU PF says the projects will be seen to completion and the citizenry will be fully empowered.
